I have a few thousand songs in my iTunes library with a larger percentage having cover art that I would like to see displayed in SKJukebox.

I spent a lot of time getting these album covers, however, it seems as though SK Jukebox needs to have the album art stored as an image in the album folder (this may be wrong, I have not tried it yet). Unfortunately, iTunes does not store the album art as image files and I can find no way to extract the information into images for each album folder. There is a script that lets one do this for Macs, (http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=savealbumart) but I can find no method of doing this on PC.

How about it? Is there a way to make a copy of iTunes album art in each album folder? If not, what kind of alternatives are there to getting artwork into SKJukebox?

I'm not sure how iTunes stores the album art but if it is stored in the tag you can use Mp3Tag. I have just gone through organizing about 2000 audio files with this program. To do what you want you would select all of the files then click on the Actions(quick) button(the Aa button with an arrow) and choose export cover to file. Input the name you want to save it as and let it do its thing.. If you don't have the individual Cd's in folders it will even name them (1), (2), etc... I spent a few days trying to figure this out hope it helps!

iTunes no longer stores the album art in the mp3's, they have special folders with the files that include linking information for each individual song. This is supposed to save space as one image can be linked to multiple songs instead of each song having the image stored within it. Unfortunately, these images cannot be edited or moved outside of iTunes.

However, I do believe some of my mp3s might be old enough to have such embeds, so the program you mentioned may work for a percentage of my collection. I'll give it a try.

Ok, that did work for a few. I've been using Album Art Download for the rest but it is slow going. It took like 6 hours for A-F as I had to choose the best fit manually.

I still have a ways to go unless someone is aware of a more expedient strategy?
