Buying advice (noobie questions)
« on: July 12, 2011, 06:55:41 pm »
I've got an empty cocktail cab on the way and just wondered if the bits I'm intending to buy are the right ones.

I'm after a pretty standard 2 player setup with 6 buttons each, 1up,2up and coin.  I'd like them all illuminated and to do that random flashing thing when not in use.

So, I have a Minipac, from an old build which I'm planning to use (if there is enough inputs etc, can't look right now).

And would I go with PAC drive or PAC led 64?  Do these devices connect together with the Minipac or are independent?  Button wise I was thinking Ultralux.  And for sticks the Ultrastick 360's, if they will fit the cocktail ( the control pane, is pre-drilled).

Anyway, sorry for the noobie questions, want to buy the bits tomorrow morning if possible, so wondered if there is anything I have missed out or shouldnt use etc..

depends if you want RGB lights, or one color, if its multi-color get the pac 64.

If you are using U360's you don't need the minipac, the U360's let you hook up to 8 buttons each.

I am assuming that you already have the monitor and PC?

Ah brilliant, I would rather not use a Minipac if possible.  I have a pc I'm putting in already, just need to buy a monitor.  I will have a think about the buttons, but will probably just go with the translucent ones and a PAC drive.
