Speaker covers
« on: July 09, 2011, 05:27:29 pm »
I'm about to drill some holes for my speakers for my cab and thought they would look so much better if
I had some speaker covers. After some searching, I was unable to find small enough speaker covers.

Does anyone know of any online shops to buy 3" speaker covers?

Are they square or round? :dunno

On my cab I bought some chrome shower drain covers at the local hardware store.

Id put up some pics but I still dont know how to do that yet. :-\
They treated me like an animal and that's what I became.

I randomly found this mesh office material at a dollar store, cut it out to fit and it looks totally pro.  Check it out.

Rakoons suggestion worked great for me, though I went with brass....

That glass "cone" with the brass circle in it, with the diamond shaped array of holes? That's the drain cover he's talking about....

Drain covers... smart. I was thinking of the fan covers that PC enthusiasts put on the back of their cases, but they all seem to be around 120mm, or 4 and 1/2 inches or so, a bit bigger than you were looking for.
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

I found an 80mm version of these on amazon. These will work perfectly. Thanks!

Cool. this place seems to have a decent selection, and even some smaller ones: http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l2/g47/c223/list/p1/Fan_Accessories-Fan_Filters.html
