As always I'm a little skeptical, especially with claims like this:

There is so much info in this manual. For less than 300 dollars and in less than 24 hours (of work) you will have the perfect addition to your rec room

probably a free box, computer / monitor you already have, simple 1 player layout, and tools you already have.  Otherwise, my controls alone cost most of that - but I did buy from Happ so it's my own fault.   ::)

More than possible to make a cab for > $300.  my two player layout came to just over $200.  Of course, there is no trackball or spinner, but that's something I can add in the future.

Cab - $0 (except gas and tolls)
Monitor - $89
Computer - $0 (scrounged from machines I found)
Motherboard - $15 (the original one blew)
Buttons/Joys - $0 (scrounged from CPs I found)
KeyWiz - $40
Wiring - $0 (CAT-5E found in Staples dumpster)

I know I'm forgetting something in there, but I can't remember what.

Now for the stuff I screwed up and still had to lay out $$$:

Primer: $5 (wrong kind (cheap stuff))
Marquee - $11 (printed on vinyl, not see-thru, will have to redo)
Keyboard - $7 (I can't solder worth a damn)
Paint - $unknown (I keep screwing up the paint job, having to repaint over and over)

It's a decent machine.  500MHz AMD K6/2 with 96M RAM.  Decent in the respect that I can play the games that I want.  No Killer Instinct, but this machine isn't made for that.  It does play the Neo Geo games decently.  I've grown to like the Metal Slug series.

well..... if you assume you get a gutted cab for FREE....
and if you assume you already has a decent computer.....
and the gutted cab has coin door....
and you assume you can reuse part of the CP parts...
also assume you have all the right tools available at no cost....

then of course.... it can fall within budget....

for me.... I got 3 nice plywood.... already $150....
a decent computer (that I can also use as a computer...)
will cost like $600 or so..... (yes... that can cheap out a bit if you only play old games....)
but I believe he mentioned KI and cruising usa in his ebay !!!!.....

ok... CP controls.... if he mentioned any driving games.... is only stick and buttons enough ??... anyway... just stick and buttons is not all cheap....

even if you manage to get so much things for free to keep it within budgets.... within 24 hrs of labor ??  (8 hr days for 3 days and you're done ??....)

ok.... sorry.... but I don't believe it....

ps: if he really manages it....
then what he should do is.... instead of selling this dumbo printout....
spend $300 + 3 days' work.... make a mame cab and easily sell it for $2k.....

he can literally sell a cab each week and make at least $1k each transaction....

much better than selling the dumbo for $20.... IMHO....

sorry... but from what I know so far... this falls into "MISLEADING PRODUCT"....
(and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong....)

actually... I'll be happy to find out how to make a cab for $300 in 24 hrs... and you bet I'll sell one every month to make $$ to help feed myself... haa haa....

This line kills me:

I know very little about computers and even less about woodworking

So you want me to bid on a how to manual, written by a guy who admits to knowing very little about the two skills needed to make this work.

...and to top it off, the picture of the finished product is 3d rendering.

I'm guessing this guy has never completed a cabinet, and is hoping to make the 300 bucks he thinks he needs, to fund his first project.

This could be a decent deal for someone who doesn't have hours to spend researching web sites (if the manual is as good as he says).

A manual printed on premium paper with hundreds of photos, drawings and diagrams for $7.95 +$5 sh.  Could have helped some of those guys who dropped $4K on a pre-built Mame cab.

HOLY CRAP!!!
This guy has already brought in around $450 just off his ebay sales of that "book"!!!
I looked up his past sales & saw what he's done...
He's sold them for as much as $41-51!!!
(And those figures aren't counting the 6 auctions he has going!!!)

I gotta get me some of that action!
I'm not a freak!...

Don't be so sure.. he's sold about 20 of them but only has 1 feedback... my guess is people backed out or weren't satisfied and he didn't give them negatives to risk the retaliatory feedback...  regardless I seriously doubt he's collected on many of them.  The few I looked into a while back appeared to be shills, too (bidded up with a 0 feedback bidder).
