DIY Arcade Help & Ideas Welcome

I'm thinking of picking this up to do the Xbox 360 bar top i have been wanting to do for a while. I was thinking about completely deceasing the 360 add fans ect and put it inside
also i was thinking for the controls deceasing the mad catz street fighter stick as it can be upgraded easily with sanwa buttons.

Has anybody bought one of these? also i have noticed due to size restrictions of the build i could only fit a 19" Monitor in which is a problem because I will need something with a
hdmi input to get the best picture it seems most monitors under 23-24" don't have hdmi.

Anyone got any ideas on what im planning?

I decased a decesead 360 to fix it  :-\

No need to add a bunch of fans.  The standard fan should work fine as long as there is a big vent in the back.

I would get the mad catz fight pads from vpgames.com, they are only 23 bucks a pop and easy to hack, that is what I did.

You don't need HDMI, just get vga cable for the xbox, you can find one on ebay for under ten bucks, once again, this is what I did...

Did you notice that the kit seems to be made of PVC foam board?   I would like to know how strong it is.

+1. If you throw the buttons away anyway then all you're left with is a PCB and a stick that, from what I've heard, is a tad on the crappy side. Get a Japanese quality stick from Sanwa or Seimitsu and buy what donkbaca recommended or one of these for an easy-to-solder-to PCB:

ive got a mad catz se which you can mod up with sanwa parts so im going to take it out of the case and use the top as a template on the control panel.
i should get the kit tommrow so i will take pictures and start a project thread. I am a bit worried about screwing into the control panel if its pvc ill have to see when it comes.

If it's the stuff I'm thinking of, it's supposed to be very strong. I believe it's often used in outdoor signage?
