sanwa 29e31S dead
« on: June 27, 2011, 04:49:02 pm »
I have another one of these that died over night.

Its from a sega extreme hunting 2, no glow in the neck, no noises at power up. Fuse is good. I pulled the chassis out to check for anything obvious but do not see anything. Any ideas as where to start?

Looks like this has a SMPS.  Is the power supply running at all?  Output voltages reasonable?

Manual in this BYOAC thread.

I can't make use of those schematics one bit...

I need to check out the ps, its tough to reach in there and not bump into things. Theres also a plate that covers the entire bottom of the board.
I might be sending this thing out if I can't come up with a fix soon.

Ok, so I finally was able to have two of these next to each other and compare readings..I found d821 open. Im going to order a fmlg14s along with a cap kit...anything else I should check out or replace just to be safe....
