I am running MALA 1.74 on a 32 bit Windows XP machine.

-----
1.) I set up joypad controls for Project 64 (v. 1.6) and epsxe (v. 1.7.0) using a Dual Shock 2 (with a Playstation 2 to USB connector). This works perfectly fine outside of MALA. However, once I attempt to run my emus from MALA, the controls do not work. In fact, they then stop working out of MALA (unless I remove and reconnect the hardware).

For example:

Open Project 64 manually and play game – controller works
Open MALA and exit immediately without doing anything
Open Project 64 manually and play game – controller no longer works.
Pull out USB connection and reinsert – controller begins working again

Any ideas as to what MALA is doing to my joypad?

-----
2.) Project Tempest (my Jaguar emulator, v. 0.95) seems unable to load a rom directly from MALA. It brings up a black window from which I can use a mouse to go through the load rom process (rather defeating the purpose of MALA). I do not know why and was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem.

-----
3.) Has anyone been able to successfully use AutoHotKey with epsxe? I tried assigning button presses to Esc (to return to MALA) and to F1 (save) and F3 (load). The save and load seemed to work initially outside of MALA, but did not work within MALA and now works in neither situation. Any ideas?

-----
4.) I am having a similar problem assigning Esc or Alt+F4 as a hotkey (via AutoHotKey) for Nostalgia (my Intellivision emulator, v. 5.0). This doesn’t seem to work in or out of MALA.

-----
PHEW! Sorry to bring so much to the table, any assistance on any of these issues would be appreciated. Hours of google searches have proven fruitless as this stuff is rather specific. It’s beginning to look like the woodwork may be the easy part (starting that tomorrow – so excite!)…

Thanks much!

Hi,
have you got enabled joystick in MALA?

Check the processes are running in your computer!

You could take a look to my program AllInOne.

Greetings!

Yes, I have tried both the joystick enabled and not enabled.

As far as processes, here is what my task manager appears as seen in the image below.

The only difference between the controller working and not working, is that the process "wmiprvse.exe - NETWORK SERVICE" somehow gets turned by using MALA.
