I'm about to order some LED buttons and LED joysticks. All will by 12V DC. I've never set these up before and just want to check the correct wiring method. I just want them to be lit all the time and they will be connected directly to a PC power supply (ie. not to any PACDrive board or anything).
I understand that they get connected pretty much like the buttons microswitches - Daiisy chaining the grounds together and connecting to Ground on the PSU ground.
How about the actual +12V line? Do they get connected in parallel back to the +12V on the PSU? Or are they also daisy chained together and then into the PSU?
I read somewhere that the grounds can also be connected directly to the ground of the pushbutton microswitch which goes to the IPAC ground, eliminating some cabling? is this recommended?
Any help/Diagrams would be appreciated.
