Vewlix cab plans
« on: June 15, 2011, 04:35:21 pm »
Hola, basically I'm absolutely terrible at wood work/DIY etc.  I've previously made a bartop a couple of years ago after reading through these forums - well I say me, I had to get my dad to do it in the end after a couple of bad attempts.  The end result was pretty good and I'm fine doing all the wiring/pc work but unfortunately me and wood just don't work, well the cutting at least.

Now my dilemma, I would really love to buy a vewlix cab but the cost to import would be stupid (I'm In the uk).  So that leaves me with building.  I can't really get my dad involved at this time, so I would at least like to take some of strain out by getting all the wood cut and then following a guide to put it together.  I did read the plans that some other guy built (can't rem name, on another site).  I wondered if I could just take these somewhere and get all the bits cut, and just assemble them?

I'm in no rush, but dont think it would be wise to let me near power tools.  I did see another uk guy on here that was building one around a 24" monitor (which also interested me) but the posts stopped last year.

Any help/suggestions welcome.
