What's the best golf game....

What's the best golf game to play on a MAME cab with a trackball?   I haven't played much golden tee so I am not partial to that series.  Possibly tiger woods, but I read some older posts that there were some issues with TW playing with a trackball. 

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well I can't say it is the best as far as tech specs go, but for me the very best arcade golf is " neo turf masters" has great control, very addictive play, and about the best wind system I have seen even on the more upscale new console golf games.... I have a friend and I , that play at least one game every time we see one another...... and is sadly one of the reasons that I built my very first cab............Just to add, they never made an arcade seq. to turfmasters, very sad, could have added a few more players and courses for a supurb game, they did make a lame handheld version, that besides the same name was nothing like it's 1996 arcade masterpiece....... Nazca spent all thier time on metal slug after 96:(

Yep, it's Neo Turf Masters. Sure, it's not a trackball game, but it's the best, so why play anything else?

Don't forget the cool lounge jazz music of Neo Turf, the hilarious Engrish announcers ("plize for biwdee"), and the ultra-gay poses the golfers take in the cut scenes.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I've tried Tiger and the PC version of Golden Tee but I always found myself going back to the 6 Golden Tee games on Mame.  Sure the PC games look better but the simple controls and fast pace just make the Mame games the clear winners for me.  Like others have said, Neo Turf Masters is easily the best arcade golf game using standard controls.

One of my favs is Golfing Greats, i remember playing that all night in my local pub. Its a pity its not 100% emulated, still playable though.

I agree with this. I ended up buying a dedicated Golden Tee Fore machine because the earlier games got so much love on the MAME cab. There are a couple mentioned in this thread that I haven't tried, definitely looking forward to checking them out.

has anyone had any trackball configuration issues with Tiger Woods?  My trackball serves as my mouse so I think I should be OK.
