problem using mame in place of zinc
« on: May 25, 2011, 03:20:14 pm »
Since mame can pretty much play all the games zinc can, i decided to use it instead. So I checked that everything works in mame already, gave MA the paths for the roms folder and the exe for mame.
The problem is when i run it, the command string it runs is blank so it doesn't do anything. I used to use zinc before so i know that it actually did work. I'm not sure what the problem is.

Did you setup MAME by selecting mame configuration from the preferences menu or did you just substitute the mame, exe where your zinc.exe was?   You should setup mame from scratch by selecting to config mame or the command strings will be wrong.
