My Mame / Quiz Cab - UK Build
« on: May 24, 2011, 06:16:48 pm »
Ive decided to sell my cab (fifth one ive built) but before it goes i thought id put it in here to see what you guys think.

Cab is a generic uk based Jamma cab which i have gutted and fitted a 21" PC Monitor. PC is approx 2.8Ghz P4 with 1.5GB Ram and a 512MB PCIe grafix card. 2x Hard drives of 40GB & 120GB approx size.
Ive also installed a flip out 15" touch screen ELO monitor to use as jukebox and/or quiz screen (as seen in pubs around the UK).

Brand new cheap joysticks and buttons (6 button per player + 1 extra for pause and extras) from Ebay uk and a 2.1 speaker system inside. Also wired up the coin door with coin return as credit button.

Boots up windows xp hidden as much as possible (without messing around with registry) and straight into simpletouchfe which has all the "pub" games as well as links to SKGJukebox and ETouch. Also link to Maximus which boots the main screen as well (dont want main screen on if just using for quiz or jukebox).

Maximus runs visual pinball, mame, zinc, nulldc, epsxe, N64 emu, kawaks, and emus for all segas, nintendo and pc games (as batch files).

Im real happy with it but saving up for either a car as a project or a nice big 3dtv.

I will put this in the for sale section with a link to this.

Please ignore the quality of the video as it was done on my iphone and also it shows bars on the screen which there isnt any.
Also i have a sore throat and its late here so my voice is awful!

What you think?
