Question about Front Loader / Front end
«

Hi there just starting work on my first Mame Cabinet and wanna ask a quick software question
Ive seen many different FrontEnd's / Loaders for mame. I know that some can run diffrent emulators as well as mame so its handy when you boot up. However I wanna know if i can run other games from the Front end without having to switch out to desktop.
I wanna be able to load my touhou games and my pc copy of Blaz Blu through the Front end without having to back out to the desktop and run it.
Can i do this? And if so, whats the best Front end/loader to use for this?

Most frontends will allow the use of batch files to run pc software, i know for def that hyperspin does, but i assume all the others will also, see each frontend website for info on how to do this

Like said above, hyperspin is very nice since they have so many tuts to help you out. Another easly configed frontend is mala, easy to make game lists and easly configured.

There is a great Blaz Blue theme for HS.. I have it on my cab, it such a great fighting game. Given that it has a 4 button mode it's perfect for a neo geo cab.

I use GameEx. It's not free, but the support is amazing, it works great, and it's easy to set up. Nevermind it's super configurable.
