Rowe 100B bulbs
« on: May 09, 2011, 08:18:31 pm »
Hi,

I have a ROWE CD100B jukebox just delivered! :afro:

I am very new to this jukebox so please bear with me! :o

The side bulbs are 11watt 130V colored and burnt out. Would a colored CFL work? I see they are rated power consumption 13watt and equal to 60 watt bulb, but am happy to replace with 130V 11 watt bulb if required. :dunno

Thanks and very excited, 250 watt coming out of this thing sounds so amazing.

The original bulbs are 11 watt "sign use" bulbs (S-11) commonly used in the sign industry and in carnival rides. Yes you can use the low wattage compact fluorescent lamps in there without a problem.

Ken, Thank you for your reply. The blue cfl's look great and add to the ambiance of the machine. The original color tubes are missing and my local arcade/pin/juke supplier says they usually break and doesn't have any.

I see you know your stuff and have seen your posts saying contact ROWE dealer for parts but any ideas? I'd like the motor and o-ring as well to complete the box.

Hi Roguetel,

I would not use CFL's they would be ok after being lit but would draw a high current on inital starting.

Happ may be your best bet but you should be able to order the 11 watt carnival lamps from any electrical supplier/wholeseller.
