Think i've fried my cps2 18 in 1
« on: May 08, 2011, 11:55:51 am »
Been trying to get this board working since the moment i got it and unfortunately at one point, my power supply developed a fault and sent 8v down the 5v line. Pretty sure it's ---fouled up beyond all recognition--- it but I don't have the first clue where to look or how to fix it. Does anyone know of any specialists who would be able to fix it and if so, how much would it cost?

At $205 for a new board it would be very hard to get someone to work on it for cheaper if you have indeed fried the 5V line to the ICs.   However maybe you could ask someone with more experience with the exact board by contacting Paradise Arcade shop in Buy and Sell.

Thanks, I feared as much. Really wish I knew more about electronics myself. Completely gutted tbh as that was £100 I don't have to spare...
