New Arcade Book - Bits, Sticks and Buttons
« on: April 20, 2011, 10:29:05 am »
Gozer5454 from KLOV and 3d model fame has put together a book featuring the "top 50 arcade games of all time".

While there will be some disagreement as to his choices (which he acknowledges), there should be no disagreement that this is a great book.

It is well put together, beautifully presented and belongs on the coffee table of any collector or enthusiast.

What sets it apart from other titles in the genre is that it features actual current collectors and their cabinets. BYOACer FrizzleFried makes an appearance standing beside his SpyHunter cabinet.

There are also some good featurette-type blurbs about current vendors, including BYOACers GameOnGraphix and ChannelManiac.

The book runs 80 pages and is available on Blurb.

There is an online preview of the first 15 pages available here:

I placed my order on Friday and was told to expect a shipping date of April 25th (since they print to order). It arrived this morning.

Highly Recommended!

Most definitely is a great book! I'm on the SF Rush page (along with my kids).
