Up until tonight, MaLa (1.74) has had no problem seeing my GP-Wiz 40. Now tonight it stopped responding to any button presses. I opened up the configuration menu, and when I go to Controllers -> Joystick -> Check, it says 0 Buttons for joystick ID 1. I switch to 2, and it then sees 16 buttons (one of my N64/GC adapters). It used to see 32 buttons on ID 1 previously.
Now, up until tonight, I've always had 2 USB "gamepads" plugged in, the GP-Wiz and a 4NES4SNES adapter (which technically provides 4 gamepads). Tonight I added 2 N64/GC adapters. So I unplugged all the gamepads except the GP-Wiz and restarted MaLa. Then it showed 0 buttons regardless of which ID I picked. I exited MaLa, unplugged the GP-Wiz, waited 30 seconds plugged it back in. Restarted MaLa, still nothing.
With all the other joysticks unplugged, I checked the Windows (7) game controller properties and it sees the GP-Wiz fine. All the buttons test out fine. I started up MAME, it sees the GP Wiz fine as well. I even unzipped a fresh copy of MaLa and started it up. It wouldn't recognize the GP-Wiz either. I turned on debugging, but couldn't really glean anything from the log. I also tried the 1.742 beta out of desperation. Nothing is working. I can see if MaLa was upset that there were like 7 gamepads plugged in, but even when I unplug them all it still won't see it.
I'm at my wits end here....
