So I recently built a house and had the mame cabinet in storage.
My configuration:
1. 27" Toshiba TV model number 27 AF43
2. Nvidia 8400 GS video card with a multipin adapter to connect component to TV
3. XP operating system
4. Maximus Arcade
Finally got it out a couple weeks ago, put it all back together booted her up and everything worked like it did previously. The problem? Well as I was going through all my emulators making sure everything looked as is and was working correctly as it had before, I ended up selected a Daphne game DL and before the game loaded I got a message that Daphneloader wanted to update itself and I foolishly clicked OK. As soon as that happened my screen turned into colored snow. Now I cant get windows or Mame to display properly on the TV. I've had a similar problem a couple years ago - thread here (
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=80089.0). But I've gone through all the steps I believe I took back then I still get no results.
I've tried running through the tv setup wizard in nvidia's control panel with no success. I've changed the resolution in windows to 720*480 (its previous setting), with no success. The thing is I know the TV actually works because it displays fine right up until the point its about ready to kick into show the windows desktop. Thats the point it kicks over to colored snow. I've also hooked up another monitor to the computer and it displays with no problem (VGA connection). If I have both monitors hooked up during bootup the bootup screen stays on the TV but right before it set to display the desktop it kicks over the display to the secondary monitor. The other issue is in the Nvidia control panel I seem to get Nvidia to allow me to setup dual monitors even though it sees both of them and lists both monitors. Under the multiple displays section there is only one option to select (single monitor). I'm pretty sure in the past I've been able to select dual as the option.
Any thoughts would be great. I've spent 7 months with no cab and my patience is wearing thin....I just to play some damn games!
