atari style top fire joysticks?

how do you all feel about the atari style top fire joysticks in 8 way format?  im trying to find the best joystick for my dedicated World of Warcraft cab and i just thought of these.  i was thinking to wire the jump button to the fire button on top of the stick.  thoughts from fellow WoW players/cab junkies?  all help is appreciated. :notworthy:
