DC Pad hack question
« on: August 26, 2003, 03:21:15 pm »
Thinking of adding my DC to my mamecab and I got a question on dc pad hacking.
I dissassembled the pad and everything seems pretty straight forward except for the shoulder buttons  ???
Whats the easiest way to connect those because I dont think I can solder to those tiny surface mounted thingies even if I knew what goes where  :P

snaaake should be the expert....

but I also recently hacked 2 xbox pad...

the shoulder buttons are actually analog buttons... right ??...
(or no ??)

either way... you should be able to find 2 (or 3) big solder point where the whole trigger is attached....

that should be the best place to solder....

but... each circuit board is different... (even if the pad (outside) looks exactly the same...)  so... easiest is post a couple of pics....  then guys here might be able to just point out where you can solder....

Another Brilliant mind ruined by education....  :p

well this picture might help you.
Use a fine tip soldering iron.  :)

OR try madcatz pad(hard to find).

This site has more info on madcatz dreampad.
http://www.darkravenwind.com/cdvision/madcatz.htm

I personally use the official pad because they are really cheap now a day.Like $5.
