Discs of Tron stick question...
« on: April 03, 2011, 02:15:47 am »
I already bought a spinner. It doesn't have hi low and I wondered this. Is there a flight stick that has the 2 required buttons for DoT, but also has another 2 for up down? I think DoT would be playable with a set up like that.

Something like this??

How would I mount that though??

You need to either sell that spinner here, on ebay or cragislist & then buy this one: http://www.apachecontrols.com/products.html

They will actually pay you $50 for the one you have via their trade up program: http://www.apachecontrols.com/tradeup.html

I have one & its great. It built like a tank & the knobs are awesome. I have been so fed up with the cheap knobs out there over the years, this one will not disappoint.

Thanks, but I am wondering specifically about a joystick that can be used for the up/down.

Has anyone done this?

Anybody? I think that if you already have a spinner you like, a flightstick with more than 2 buttons is a good idea. I swear I remember reading about someone here doing this, but I can't find it.

Well the problem with looking for a stick with up/down is that you already need a trigger for shooting and a thumb button for shields. So you'd be looking at 4 buttons total on the stick! You could maybe use a PC flight stick with the little joystick nub on it; Up/down for up/down and left/right for shields.
NO MORE!!
