Just a generic question, do the hard drive images have to match exact revision levels of the software on the board?

Seems like in certain years of Golden Tee there may have been various software versions. I just want to know if any image of a Golden Tee Fore 2005 machine will work on any Golden Tee Fore 2005 board.
