Arcade Fire

Arcade fire is some band I don't listen to but when they come to town, all my craigslist searches get screwed up with people trying to sell tickets.

Arcade Fire ain't a bad band. Even though they are a band that hipsters feel self important by adding them to their iPods/pads/whatever, they are still worth a listen.

Edit - I was searching for a vid on youtube of them, and it looks like other people out there would agree with my comment above

That is exactly how I set up my searches too!  There are too many Xbox 360 Arcade and Arcade Fire posts all the time.

Hahaha, that's funny, I do the same thing. Mine is:

arcade -360 -nes -ps2 -ps3 -fire -concert -tickets -wii -xbox -bmx  (people keep posting their We The People Arcade BMX bikes...grrrr!)

It keeps on growing though...

You guys have it easy. There's a place near me called Arden-Arcade. Irritating as Hell.

I started getting a lot of spam cars for sale that would have random people's address/phone numbers in small white font.  I just kept reporting it to craigslist and it looks like they have slowed down.

I'm getting a ton of those concert listings with keywords in small white font as well.  Out of the 29 "arcade" listings in the last two days 18 are for some concert ticket company or other.  I keep tweaking my search string to eliminate them.  What a pain though.

So true! Back a couple years ago when I first set up my RSS from craigslist I was like, who the hell is Arcade Fire? Now they've had some bigger hits and I actually like a few of their songs. But still hate when they come to town and screw up my craigslist searches  ::)

I noticed this too. And reading this thread just now, I had a 'command line' idea. I put in the search box: arcade -fire.  No ticket stuff. Wunderbar!
