Coin Controls door manual?
« on: March 15, 2011, 04:35:24 pm »
I just received my coin door and I am looking for the manual for it. It says Coin Controls on the inside of the door. I've looked everywhere for the manual, but can't seem to locate one and I read somewhere Happ bought Coin Controls??  :dunno If anyone knows where i can find a manual for it, it would be much appreciated!! Thanks

what do you need a manual for?  Coin doors are pretty simple, and if you search on here I am sure you can find the info you need.  Check the stickied thread on how to modify coin mechs to accept tokens, it will give you a lot of info on how coin mechs work

Took it all apart last night so I can clean and paint it... Had a few beers while I was disassembling it  ::) Just to have a reference where everything goes back. I'll have another look tonight minus the beers

The reject mechanism was not functioning properly and need a new spring (missing) and new buttons (beat up & dirty). Are these the parts for that door? http://www.happcontrols.com/cc/42315700.htm

Those look to be the correct parts.
ordering from Happ can be costly.
Here are coin control door parts from Lizard Lick

Updating this thread. Some Coin Controls manuals are here:

http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Coin_Mechs_Etc/Coin_Controls/

Exploded view parts lists of the coin doors are here (granted this is 1987 and earlier doors):

http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Coin_Mechs_Etc/Coin_Controls/Coin_Controls_Parts_and_Price_List_%28May_1987%29.pdf

It was Wells-Gardner that had bought Coin Controls' coin door and coin mechanism business back in 1998. Happ Controls distributes some of the Coin Controls parts.

Several years ago I made up a Coin Controls parts picture identification guide with links to Happ Controls:
