mala games by year
« on: March 13, 2011, 11:05:02 am »
I had my tree all setup, games sorted the way I want.  me drunk friends came over.  a few button pesses later every game is sorted by year.  nothing has changed in the settings that I can find.  It must be a simple thing but how do I change this back.  Is there some kind of auto sort in mala?

Howdy-

I haven't an answer for you directly, but there is a MaLa forum here, where you'll get a good response: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,43.0.html

Whenever I have company playing my game, I go into the MaLa settings & click the checkbox that says that a certain keyboard key must be pressed to access the options menu, rather than a mouse right-click to make the little pop-up menu appear.  Then, I seat that certain keyboard key to be one that's not available as a button press or joystick direction on my control panel--that key's accessible only by opening up the coin door w/ a key, pulling out the keyboard, & pressing that key.

That should help prevent future goofs.  I also make a backup of my MaLa directory every now & then, in case I need to restore it.

Good luck.
