You can always do a bezel now, made out of foam board or something and then just change it out for what you need when you add the rotate feature.
Or you can mask and spray the back side of the glass for a bezel and then scrape it off with a razor when you add the rotate.
using flat black spraypaint on the back side of glass really shines nicely through to the other side.

I'd add the bezel.  Make it look finished at least.  You can get some black matteboard for like $5 from a Michael's or A.C. Moore or some other craft store.  Just cut a hole in it for your monitor and you should be good to go.

So i was originally going to place vinyl artwork on the board. i know that you have to sand it first and paint it. but again funds are taped atm and friends arent finished with the art yet.
the question i am getting to is can i use laminate on it and then stick the vinyl on later or would i have to strip the laminate? can i paint it and leave it painted till i get funds for the vinyl if so would just primer do or will having primer only for a long period of time hurt the cab? also from reading the forum water based is better if applying vinyl is this correct?

Are you using tinted glass? I have dark tint on my glass and there is no need for a bezel, if you are just trying to hide the monitor chassis.

not sure atm no more funds for something that expensive so ima just do the bezel out of something cheep before i get glass but i will look into dark tinted glass. how does that affect the image from the monitor?

It looks great. I wouldn't even consider clear glass if I build a new cab in the future.  There is a thread above this talking about greylight, but I don't have any photos.  I can try to take a few this weekend.

I actually put together a foam bezel and used it for about a day and a half before tossing it.
