Hi, I am restoring my uMK3 cab :-)

In attachement you will find two pictures. On the first one, a mettalic part close to the coin system. It is tied to the coin door and I wonder what is it ?
Remark : the ending part is not touching actually the bottom iron plate, do I have to replace it? Is it important?

On the next picture, below my monitor, 3 wires and the middle one (green) is cutted. I think this is for ground purpose. What should be the reason why it's cutted? I just bought this arcade cab and the previous owner does'nt know about it.  :dunno

Thank you in advance  :afro:

Thats a Slam Tilt in the first pic.
They were used on games to monitor if someone was being overly rough and maybe kicking the front.
Typically they would shutdown or restart the game or they could be wired to alarms.

Its very normal for those to be cut and disabled

I just looked at your second pic.
That is an unused ground on the monitor.
Some monitors only need a hot and neutral (and they must have an isolation transformer).

It just looks like someone spliced in a connector that had a ground that wasn't used.
That should be fine.

You should also have a ground loop through the cabinet that ties all things metal together including the monitors frame.

It would be wise to get those wires strapped up so their not hanging and pulling.
