WTB: Marquee "trim"
« on: February 15, 2011, 09:26:36 pm »
I'm looking for the material that goes on the SIDE of the marquees - the black strips that slide on the marquee that clean up the edges and can make the fit snug if the marquee is a bit short.

Anyone have some of that material or can someone suggest a suitable replacement?

Thx.

Gamemolding.com did not stock this, but referred me here:

http://www.marcospecialties.com/storeitems.asp?txtkey=channels

Looks like that's the real deal.  I'm gonna hit up The Depot and see if there isn't anything there as a viable alternative, too.

Just posting now for future reference for folks looking for this stuff.

Final post.

Home Depot has some black plastic trim in the screen section that's under $3 for 7 feet and works just fine.

That is all.

Those look somewhat like the plastic piece that we used to use in high school for report covers.  I'd like to see what Lowes or Home Depot carries in stock that match these.

The SKU is:

0 11415 82070 1

As far as pics, it's really just black trim that if you looked at it you would say, "oh, that would work!"

It's not exactly a channel like the proper, more expensive stuff, but it does have a side that, if placed on the outer portion where you'll actually see it, looks virtually the same as the real stuff.

I used these on my Galaga. Any place that sells school or office supplies has them. I found mine at Drug Mart. Had to buy 2 packs to get one for each side on black. Cut them to length with a razor knife. Slid on really easy tight fit now and block the light on both sides.  :applaud:
