Nebula / Sega Model 2 and ArcadeVGA fullscreen?
« on: February 14, 2011, 09:05:55 pm »
Has anyone had any luck getting an ArcadeVGA to run Nebula fullscreen?  It works fine in a window but as soon as I try to switch to fullscreen it crashes.

Anyone?

(Sorry for the double post, but the video forum doesn't get as many views.)

I'm not using an Arcade monitor. But this also crashes on me when trying to switch to fullscreen on my cabs TV hooked up via S-video. Did you ever find a solution?

Assuming you're using the newest version (1.0)

Try manually setting the fullscreen resolution in the cfg file, then select Custom (Set in .ini) under the fullscreen options in the video tab.

Not sure it would only affect fullscreen, but also make sure your directx runtimes are up to date.
The latest version requires newer ones than the last.

I'm having the same problem. When I try to run a game in Model 2 game in Nebula it works in windowed mode but the colors are not right. When I go fullscreen the emu crashes. Has anyone gotten this to work? The PC I'm using in my MAME cabinet isn't powerful enough to run Model 2 games in MAME at a reasonable speed.

This doesn't sound good as I was planning on using this emulator with my cab for gun
Games like House of the Dead. I will keep a close eye on this fingers crossed they fix it

Model 2 is borked at the moment when trying to use a lightgun, it keeps losing focus and minimising the game and displaying the desktop. A real kick in the nuts as i soo wanted to play house of the dead and Virtua Cop with a lighgun. Seeings as Model 2 hasnt been updated in over a year now i dont hold much hope for a fix, guess we'll have to wait for Mame to fully emulate these model 2 games :(

That's a shame guess I will have to wait and see what happens, failing that I might get PC versions of Hotd and Virtua cop but not sure if they are any good plus don't really want to keep swapping discs out.
