Greetings All..
I've been lurking around this site for years, but finally decided to join. I've recently picked up a working Philco 38-4 antique radio. I know some folks may get mad redesigning such a nice piece of vintage electronics. I looked for an old radio cab so I wouldn't feel so guilty, but everything I found was too expensive ($200 plus). I found this radio two towns over for $50, and the cabinet is in great shape, just needs very little cleaning. The chassis, tubes and the dial I'm planning on giving to a radio restorer. That way some of this classy machine may bring back another vintage radio.

I just couldn't pass it up. I have a 15" touchscreen that will fit perfectly in the center, you can almost see where I mean. I hope to use two of the three original knobs for power and volume. I'll just install them in different locations. There's no way I can do anything until the spring since I have no indoor place to work. I will post an update once I get started. Anybody who has any ideas, I'd welcome anything..
Cheers!
Bogie
