market for high end one player stick boxes?

i honestly do not see the market.. but i do have some really expensive * exotic ( wood in my shop from the days of building custom longbows/recruves   i could build some pretty boxes to slap some stuff in..)

but man, i have no clue how much money this company wants for the model in the listing.. but knowing what i have paid for some of my pretty pieces of wood, the snakewood being the most expensive out of anything i have bought for a project. with music grade ebony coming in second for a neck through ebony neck/board. i wont buy snakewood again, unless my sis is on her death bed and has to have it then id look for something that is 30 years old in some bard..  maybe give the specie time to come back to piratical harvesting practice for all to enjoy. ( i will do anything for my sister, she means that much to me.  love ya kath )  R.I.P snakewood. I will not miss your checkering, pour sucking up all my laqure.  and over all evil mojo and minor skin rashes ( if you work with wood, wear latyex gloves and something kind of breathing filter.. them exotic woods have some nasty chemicals oils and other bad stuff your lungs and skin just dose not dig  IPE pronounce EPEE is the worse for me that stuff put me in the hospital. its also known as Brazilian walnut,  its mostly used in decking, makes for a good bamboo back longbow tho which is what i used it for.  but, first time using it took me strait to the ER)
ofu have given me over the years we have decided to dance.. but i also must thank you too for yjr great pieces of art that are still being used everyday and there owners get great pleasure from you.. snakewood you are one special beast..  enjoy your rest as the world goes green..  hey i can make bamboo look cool too so there is hope for you snake wood!  i would have to charge 700.00 just for the wood to build the box out of.

seei just do not see a market for it.  granted you can get some pretty wood for cheaper i was just using a high end piece of wood i own for example.  you can get some good curly maple that would look great for about 70.00.

its all realitive, its all about your clientele i guess.  my guess they are aiming for the CEO xbox suit playing in the leather chair while waiting for the next big deal to go down. cant see a sweating 15 year old who gf is yelling at him to go take a shower wanting something like this.

i do have some nice bamboo i want to use in a build.  as its doing nothing and i love the look of grass,


i did find it cute how they through in.. "hand assembled" like there is a cheaper way to do it.  heh.

Apparently there is a big market for single player fight sticks that we do not see very often on this site.  Take a look at the custom sticks on this site.  Arcade Sticks

There are many other sites with single player setups. Many sticks are modded to work on more consoles then they were originally designed for.  Seems like fight stick culture that exists with its own forums and sites. There is some overlap as I remember someone making single player boxes here.  There are also mods being done by BYOAC members that modify their own fight sticks such as this thread.Blanka Fighting Stick

thanks for the link.  now i guess it makes more sense with the guy who posted a product for his first LED power board.  i thought was odd it was for a single flight stick for a first product.  but after reading thee webpage you sent me.  it would appear he was active there so made perfect sense for him.  posting over here made me think why waste your time and hard work on something that would not be very useful.

i was def not in the right mind set.  i can see a guy in his 20s wanting nice stuff.  hop on the couch get a good game of street fighter in with his custom fighter stick.

i see the market.  not sure how big it is.  but lots of cool artwork on there sticks

Definitely a market for them, I remember trying to find a joystick for my xbox 360 when street fighter 4 came out. Everywhere was sold out, it was impossible to find one. I Bettye market is about to heat up right now with MvC3 about to drop

You'd be competing with Arcade in a Box. Also, IMHO, most of the guys ordering these things are younger (Street Fighter gen)--they've got some cash, but not enough for what you are talking about. I occasionally get the high-end client, but he's (sometimes she's) always older  (say 40's) and looking for old school stuff.

You'd probably find a few customers, but just not enough to make much $$$.

I am in the, "street fighter" generation.  I am in my early 30's. I know lots in my generation that have lots of cash.  There would be a market for this stuff for people like me who have wives that don't want their video game stuff clashing with their fancy furniture, or perhaps to go with the cigar humidor and whisky cabinet....

I admit though, it would probably be a small niche market, but I bet you could sell them
