If this should have gone in software froum please move. I built a cab years ago and used a Hagstrom encoder for the bad old dos days. I upgraded it all about 2 years (3 maybe) ti a E8400 and was happy. Well as life does, it got busy and I havent had the machine on in a few years. I still lurk here and such but keeping up on changes in MAME and so on have been out of my time limits. I just ahve a couple quetions for anybody whohas the lastest setup.

Battle of the Solar Sytem -B.O.T.S.S- does this play now? I looked and its no longer in teh Unmamed games but I cant find much info  on if it actually plays?

Laser disc stuff was slowley showing up in Mame (or was going to) when I quit keeping up, how is laser Disc support nowdays?

the january release, for sombody who had almost all games working a few years ago (GLedgends, War gods, etc), how much is broke and working nowdays.

I know, pretty general questions, but my googleing is not helping me figure this out, so if anybody wants to be helpfull, please do.

Well as being away 2 years (and simply age) do I had forgot some recources, namely MAWS, it seems I answered one of my questions and BOTSS is playable.  I would guess the rest of my answers are there also. so this can be considered closed.

I was just going to send the MAWs link, then I read the second post.

I am getting back to the MAME cab after a break as well. I just got a new Arcade VGA, so I will get the cab updated to current software this weekend. I can't wait to get rid of XP 64 once and for all. Now all of my computers will be running Win7. Life is good.
