Hey guys.  Recently I have had problems with chute 1 on my coin door.

http://happcontrols.com/coindoors/40051400.htm

I have the double chute model.  I will put a quarter in there and it gets stuck.  So I can fully press coin release and it falls to coin return or if I barely press the coin release the quarter will usually fall in the coin box.

Is there a way to clean it...Like should I put graphite on some quarters and see if that makes them not get stuck? WD40 application? What do you guys recommend?

Anyone else ever have these kind of problems with coin doors and any possible fixes?

Coin doors are pretty simple mechanical things.  Does the quarter get stuck in the same place all the time?  Should be pretty easy by looking at it where it gets stuck, and then fixing the problem.

Visual inspection should solve this.  You could always swap coin mechs from left to right to see if anything changes.  Worst case (assuming the opposite side not sticks), you could just replace the coin mech and move on.  I bet that's what an operator would do rather than screwing around with a fairly cheap part.  I'm not making money on them, so I would try to clean it with WD40 or some other degreaser...
