Very nice. I still have yet to build my small arcade, and this would be a pretty cool alternate for $100 until I do. I'd still have to get an iPad, though. :)

Let see:

iPad = $600
iCade = $150

$750, not including taxes and shipping.

You can build a dedicated bartop that looks better than this, has no control compatibility issues, all the games you want, for less than half the price. But hey, for the non-DIY'ers, this works out ok.

The question is how do the 60-in-1 (aka 'iCade') sellers sue for infringement ?
Working: Not Enough

The iCade will actually retail for $99.  $149 is the 'Joke' version's price.  That said, I imagine this is more a neat accessory for already existing iPad owners and no one's gonna buy it JUST for iCade.  And yeah, a DIYer would just buy a NetBook, partially disassemble it and construct their own iCade.

Agreed. This isn't being marketed as a $750 mini-arcade. It's a $99 accessory for people who already own an iPad. As an iPad owner, I'll surely grab one. And since it doesn't require any mods, etc, I'm still able to use my iPad as an iPad whenever I want.

I hope they update the game list

even if you have an Ipad $100 is a lot for 1 game, Asteroids, (which technically doesn't even use a joystick)

pacman should work.  id think depending how the interface works several games should work with it.

Will you be able to play the regular iPod/iPad games with the Joystick and Buttons?

im gonna guess but seems to me all they would have to do is use the joystick api built into the sdk.. so any game that uses a virtual joystick would use this?  seems that would be the most logical  thing. but this is apple so who knows till it hits the street.  i bet if you email the company they could tell you.

i bought motral combat and the controls for it suck.. so this would be a blessing for games like that.
