I think we've gone through this issue before. And there is a good chance those cabs were already beyond repair when dumped. Flood damaged, or just broken, empty shells of their former glory. In that case, it's no biggie. I'm refering to the second photo of course. the first one. Meh. Probably just Mahjong machines, they're revered in Asia doncha know

No, in the second picture the guy running the place told me they just didn't use them anymore and needed the room in their warehouse. He told me that if I had been there three months prior, he would have delivered all of them to my house for me to have. It was over 200 cabs.

Even if he had CL'd them for $50 each it would have been better than paying his employees to smash the tubes, rip out the wiring, and shove them off the loading dock into a hopper. We're literally talking about modern games and classics destroyed out of laziness.

Interesting ... I hadn't heard cottmm's story before (or had and had forgotten).

FWIW, before people get all sick about cabinets being destroyed, it is my experience that the people who kill the most cabinets are actual collectors. Even when they try to give them away, they can't and they need to get rid of the 6 foot wooden box that is eating space in the gameroom/garage/dining room.

I haven't killed one yet, but I have a disassembled, non-working Atari Football that I've come close to pitching a couple of times.

Youre reaching for that one good sir.  Still funny though. Maybe he just picked up the dumpster, then dropped it on the poor unsuspecting cabs, then loaded the corpses of his fallen foes into the dumpster, then wanted to gloat as he stood victorious!
