So, don't know if this belongs in this forum, but I'll post anyway.
So, some of you may know from previous posts, but I have a cab kit that I purchased from Mameroom. I have made mods to it, one of them being that I put wheels on the bottom. Now, the design on the cab has it so that the bottom board is raised up a couple inches or so from the sides of the cab. The cab is designed for the sides to just sit on the floor. But it's a heavy mother, and moving it is difficult, hence the addition of the wheel. One problem though, on the front of the cab, the bottom board is only attached by 2 cam-locks. One on each side, where as the back has 3 on each side to hold the back. This doesn't make much sense to me, seeing as how most of the weight due to the control panel, and people leaning on the control panel, is more on the front end of the cab. Because of this and gravity, the front cams on the bottom board on my cab snapped in half. I replaced the board, and no real damage was done aside from the steel cams being snapped clean in half. But my question now comes into play. I still want to keep wheels on the thing. Now, if I add more support, via L-Brackets, to add more support between the sides and the bottom, will this solve my problem? I was thinking of using bolts, and the brackets, along with the cam locks to add more support. (thinking maybe 5 brackets on each side of the cab). Will this add the needed support? or will this same problem repeat itself? The only other thing I can think of, is attaching a large board to the bottom covering the whole base, and then adding the wheels to that, but screwing them into the sides, but I just don't like how it would look, and it would make my cab much too tall. So, I know it's long winded, but will bolting the base and the sides with many brackets keep it together this run?
