Can you use Hyperspin in order to start NullDC without having to start it with the mouse etc? I just got everything together on there (roms etc) and Im about to try out ROMlister in conjunction with hyperspin.

Then again, Im also wondering if I should use Gameex because I have an older machine. Is that easier to set up than Hyperspin?
Pictures are overrated anyway.

I played around with hyperspin on my non-dedicated machine (intel i3) and thought it was complicated.  On my mame cab pc I am using gameex, its really easy to setup, nulldc works just fine straight from the front end with no mouse input at all.  I like hyperspin, but am not sure that I want to go through the hassle of setting it up when gameex is just so much easier, plus I am not sure if my system is beefy enough to take advantage of all the bells and whistles (P4 3.0ghz, 1.5 gb ram, ati 9800 video card)

Thanks for the input Donk. Im pretty much running the exact same thing. I gave HS a run through before when I first started the hobby, and I thought it was pretty neat, but I got confused when I wanted to change up the listing of the games. I think Ill try Gameex. Have you ran Marvel vs Capcom 2 from your cab? Im pretty much running the exact same hardware. Except I have 1 gig of ram. Ill get a new MAME PC later down the road, I just want to get everything configured so I dont have to deal with it again for awhile.  :lol Luckily, I have all my mame roms on a expansion HDD so I can just plug the USB port in when Im ready to change computers.

too bad Hyperspin requires so much heavy lifting at this point. Essentially, you have to config HS to use hyperlaunch to launch nullDC. You need to add parameters to the ini file for nullDC using AutoHotKey scripting. You basically set the defaultImage to whatever game filename you are trying to launch, and then write loadDefaultImage=1 to the file as well. If you are still interested in setup, pm me, and I will shoot the AHK script mod you will need to add to yours. Good Luck! I love HS, but it takes too much time. Im not sure if Im an arcade game junkie, or an arcade configuration junkie. Figuring it all out and getting it to all work together is addictive...

I have and it runs well!  Currently I am still in the build process, so I haven't played it yet with my CP, but I have wireless XB360 pads hooked up to the PC so I have been playing dreamcast games with it.  In gameex, its boots straight to the game and you press escape to exit.  Pretty simple setup.  I think I may have had to change something in the null dc config file, if you can't get it to work, let me know and I'll post my config file for you.  I like how gameex runs, and its pretty eas to set up
