LEDwiz
« on: January 02, 2011, 03:53:27 am »
Hi guys,

Really quick, kind of stupid question (better safe then sorry!). I'm connecting a whole bunch of RGB LEDs to a LEDwiz, so I need more then the 500ma the USB cable can supply. So I need to tap in more power from the pc. But what do I connect where? I'm guessing just cut up a molex plug and use the 5v and the ground wire? But where do I connect them? I'm going to be using all LEDwiz outputs, with every output connected to 2 LED legs (so every 3 outputs power 2 RGB LEDs).

Thanks a bunch!

I went through a similar experience.

Hopefully my old post will help:
