my touchscreen is off kilter??
« on: December 08, 2010, 10:18:14 pm »
Can anyone help with this off center issue? I'm sure it's something simple, but on that note, so am I at times. If anyone can help it'd be great if you could walk me through the fix?

It is an Elo 15" touchscreen for starters. If any additional info is needed, just let me know!

Much appreciated!

2 things to try:

There should be buttons on the side of the monitor to move the picture.

if that doesnt work

Try reinstalling the video drivers.

To see if it is drivers, plug the monitor into another computer. If you get the same results, then it will be hardware and not software.

Good Luck,

All fixed. Thanks for the help out there. Now it's time to locate a serial cable and test the touchscreen funtion and make sure it works. I'm starting to get excited at the prospect of a new build!

keep y'all posted

I was testing the monitor off of my MAME. Don't think that had much to do with anything?

I did reload the drivers with just the touchscreen monitor plugged into my video card. robooted PC and everything worked fine.

Bought a serial cable this morning, hooked it up to test, and BANG! Daddy got himself a functioning 15" touchscreen monitor! Now heading to Ebay to buy a serial cable for $5 so I can take the $22 one back to radioactive shack.

All that's left now is to decide on a design and get to building.
