First post, so here we go. I picked up a fairly decent Cyberball cab with Run & Gun installed. Monitors are original and beautiful. I was able to pick this heavy two-headed monster up for only $80. My original intentions were to harvest the monitors from it, but after playing it (even though I don't like sports games), I really liked the game play. I thought this would make a great MAME machine. The control panels are original Cyberball panels, but 3-in-1 buttons have been installed for Run & Gun. I've got a friend that works in a manufacturing facility and he has access to materials and machines. He'll be able to reproduce the control panels to fit the cab exactly, and with holes already cut for whatever button layout I want. Anyway, this is what I have come up with so far.

The control panels are pretty small, but I think it will work well set up like this. The left panel will be for players 1 and 3, and the right will be for players 2 and 4. This will allow each player in 2 player simultaneous games to have their own monitor. Also, these panels are easily removable with two screws accessable from the top, allowing quick change outs of the control panels. I also designed a panel for a trackball.

That is the blueprint for the entire panel which includes bends and cutouts. I've changed the mounting holes for the trackball to be studs welded on the backside, leaving a smooth finish on the top.
I like the way that Run & Gun mirrors the image for each monitor in the mulitplayer game. And it would be great to duplicate that in MAME, but there aren't a lot of games that utilize this and it's not a big deal if I'm not able to reproduce this. I've already got the monitor wiring figured out to display the same image on both screens. But if anyone knows how to duplicate the mirroring in the appropriate games, any help would be appreciated.
Anyway, this will be my first MAME build. Thoughts and suggestions?
