Controller Layouts
« on: August 15, 2003, 04:15:15 pm »
Is there a list of all the control layouts that are supported by MAME?  I am looking for a list that shows which games go with specific layouts, number of players supported, number of buttons, types of controls etc.  With all the stuff on this site I was sure that someone would have compiled such a list but I have not been able to find it.

Thanks

www.klov.com is probably you best bet.  They list the controls used (# of buttons/joysticks/etc..) and sometimes have pics of the cp's.  There are some lists of # of buttons used and types of controls for games floating around, but I don't know of any that actually tell you the layout of the cp.  Are you looking for all of that in one place?  You may have to gather that from various sources.  Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the help, I have been looking around the site for about 2 months now.  This has really pumped me up to build my own cab.  I plan on building it from scratch, of course borrowing from many of the cabs I have seen.  I have gone through every cab in the projects section and there are some I really like.  I am working on my CP layout and am going through what many of you have already done, debating simplicity over functionality and number of players I want to support.  The only absolute that I know is that is has to play Robotron, because that is my all time favorite.

If you read the spreadsheet thread you will know it is being worked on.

Actually, come this weekend I should almost be ready for users to start submissions.
