Tie a Happ trackball on a mini-pac, how?
« on: December 03, 2010, 03:24:17 pm »
I just got the totally awesome happ trackball.

And the surprisingly small mini-pac.

Fitting the buttons are easy, all parts needed for that came with the mini-pac, but the trackball I have no idea on how to put it on the mini-pac.

If you have the new minipac the wiring for the trackball x and y is shown on the LHS of the minipac.  You will have to rig up a wiring harness to connect to the trackball connector or cut the wires and make a direct connection.

What about connecting a HAPP trackball to the "old" MiniPAC?

Thanks.

That's a terrible diagram. The following one is better.(Though the optical connections can be made more clear). I think someone here drew it up.

Hey only one I had.  Make sure you check the 5V and ground lines.   I think along the way there was a problem there.  I do not know if it was the terminal numbers or the wire colors in the ultimarc harness.
