Atomic FE Error on game launch

This forum has been so helpful but now I'm stuck.  I am trying to run Atomic FE as my Front End.  However, whenever I click to start/play a game from the main menu an error box comes up that says:

"Error: unknown option: and"

That's it.  No other explanation.  If I try and start the games outside of Atomic FE by just using Mame32 then everything works fine. I've tried building an all new project and reselecting the root folders but nothing helps.  The snaps all come up just fine, as well as the game names. So, I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
