mamedox running mame off xbox help

i was wondering what version of rom set works best with mamedox in regards to games being able to be played

im not asking where to get them or anything just wondering, i have a couple games i would like to boot of my xbox in one machine which the boards i have are in the other

looking to play Street fighter games an capcom fighting games

any help would be great

oh k so .84 works with mamedox 1.1

is there a way i can downgrade my set to that version so i can play most on the xbox

Yes.  There are "rollback" rom sets out in the wild that will help you make any previous version you need.  You'll need to read up on using CLRMamePro (unless there's another app?) to put the correct roms together in the set.

i have the mame set for .140 i think, wondering if i can rollback that set or should i hunt for a new set?

just would love to have a list of games in mame which i know are going to work....
