External usb and headphone jacks.

I want to add ports on the outside of my cab so you can plug in headphones or usb microphones.  I found this which fits in a 60mm hole and would be pretty cool.  I'm curious what other solutions you guys have.

So you buy a panel and then you buy each port that you want in it individually?  I looked a frontx but it looks pricey to do that.

I just drilled out a hole just slightly smaller than the end of a USB ext cable, used a chisel and rask to get the size just right and epoxied the end of the extension cable into the hole. Looks great, pretty easy and a usb ext cable cost about 1.99$

I'm betting a headphone jack ext cable would be just a cheap and even easier cause it's probably round.

These Neutrik NAUSB - USB Feedthrough Chassis Socket are pretty good. You just need to drill a hole for the barell of the body and then you just screw it to your panel.

I'm looking for some low profile 3.5mm panel mount jacks myself at the moment.

I have seen these panel mount cables:

You can mount them into panels up to 2.5mm thick, I need to mount them in 3mm acrylic so I may just get away with it.

Another solution may be to use a panel mount jack something like this:

You/I could then just wire a 3.5mm cable to the terminals.

Depending on your application, another solution may just be to get a 3.5mm extension cable (kinda like the second pic) and then just drill a hole in your panel to suit the OD and glue it in place. I'm using a thin acrylic panel so that last method isn't really suitable, plus I want something clean and I also hate having to glue anything unless I absolutely have to.

I like this but I want more than one port...about 3 would be preferable.  Does anybody know of anything like this with multiple ports?

Also, I am looking at getting a stereo potentiometer to control the volume.  Does anybody know what resistance I should be looking at?  There are lots of options.
