starting an application with Mala
« on: November 19, 2010, 06:24:59 pm »
I'm working on adding two gamepads to my cab. I have MaLa set as the shell. I need to be able to run Xpadder on startup, so that the joystick buttons are turned into keypresses. Is there a way for Mala to run a program when it starts up, even when shelled?

I saw this, but it doesn't seem to work when you have MaLa as a shell. It works great if I launch Mala from explorer, but doesn't actually launch Xpadder if MaLa is the shell. There was another post about turning a batch file into an exe file and then using that as the shell, so I guess I'll try that next.

This is my fault. The plugin works. I was shelling a different version of MaLa than I had put the plugin in.

Now... Is there a way to have it start so it's minimized?

If it is like a shortcut, then right-click > properties > shortcut > run - select 'minimized'.
