using controls.ini
« on: November 10, 2010, 10:23:40 pm »
i've just managed to get the controls.ini file, pointed mala to it,

i then go to the main games list in mala, right click and select 'refresh main games list' this it does, and i now have the controls showing in the info window along with history etc.

however they are only there for the main games selection, if i go to any other games list, and highlight a game that deffo has a controls.ini file that showed up on the main list, it does not show in the other lists.

how do i make all my lists access the controls.ini file??
the 'refresh main games list' option is greyed out when in any list other than the 'all games' list.

what am i doing wrong?

In the Gamelist configuration window I think there is  button to Update Metadata in other lists (from the main list)

there is indeed, i shall press it a few times and see what happens,

i did see it before, but wasnt sure exactly what it did, there's so many things to play with in mala, i love it but it's a little confuzeling at times, not that it takes much to confuzle me with software,

Yeah well you are right, there are a lot of options ;-)

If you take some time to think about how the arrangement of these options could be improved then pass on your suggestion(s)

Also Don't forget the MaLa Wiki.  You can edit that with your forum login if you have tips to pass on to other users ;D
