Anyone in the SF Bay Area?
« on: August 13, 2003, 06:01:37 pm »
Just wondering...it'd be nice to get together with some other locals to exchange ideas and play some games.

I'm in Fremont.
5 MAME cabs and counting...

Ever wonder what full side art looks like?

San Jose here.  I believe there are a couple others from the area.  I was thinking we should have a west coast BYOAC get together during the CA Extreme show in July, but the date crept up on me...turned out I was busy that weekend and missed the show anyway  :(

I wanted to go too, but just like you, the date crept up on me and turned out I was busy that weekend at the last minute. :(

The show was really awesome - too bad you guys couldn't make it - my wife and I had a blast. We ended up playing pins mostly...world cup soccer 94 - I doeven like soccer, but I love that pin!

That started me on the path to my first mame cab - I got a couple empties from a guy who won some auctions.

Would any of you be down for a little GTG?

I'm in Sunnyvale but my cab is a work in progress :-)  What kind of setups do you guys have ?  I'm building a 4 player cab based of Scott's Unicade and just recently finished building the internal frame.

Morgan Hill, Just South of San Jose -

Whoever's got the biggest house has to host the party...

I've built a few cabs with the street fighter / trackball look.
1 from scratch, 1 was an old missile command conversion, and recently a Teenage Mutant ninja Turtles Mame-a-roo.  I also just finished a Star Castle Restoration.  Check Out:

That would be a cool idea!

I just moved over the weekend, to the Bernal area. Sounds like there's a lot of local people around.

Crap! I go out of town for a little while, and everyone around me mobilizes.

Anyhow, San Mateo's in the house, the hizzay, or whatever the kids are saying these days. My cab's about a month away from completion, though. One long, drawn-out, agonizing month. Ack.
