What games pre 2001?
« on: November 01, 2010, 08:30:33 pm »
Just got done playing Vigilante and i came across the world trade center on the 3rd level. What other games pre 2001 have the World Trade Center in the game?

While a little different, I remember hearing a Notorious BIG song in the earlier part of the decade on the radio and there was a line scratched out that sounded unfamiliar to me. After a few minutes of thinking about it, I remembered the lyric going something like "I just blew up like the world trade". With the original reference to the much less devastating bombing several years before 9/11.

There is actually a shooter that shows buildings very much like the WTC being destroyed. Someone posted about it before and I saw it, forgot it, and haven't seen it since.

He was referencing the 1993 World Trade Center bombings

That would be the attract intro to SDI.. (which some people demanded we remove after the event... idiots)

Psikyo's Space Bomber also has them on fire as one of it's backgrounds.

Some of the Aerofighters games also have (fairly generic) WTC-like structures which you blow up.

Red Alert 2, in one of the missions you hafta put troops in the towers and defend it from the russians. I thin kin the russian campaign, you have to do the opposite, and destroy them.

I know you can fly planes into them in the older Microsoft simulators, I used to do it all the time, more then a decade before al queda

in Ninja Warriors, I think it was just a mansion that looked suspiciously like the white house.

"A revorution broke out.
And everything became to an end.
The troubled country seemed to be finished
By the death of the wicked machines.

But the peace did not came.

Because Ninja warriors,
They arethe immortal murder machines….."

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Thats how some of the ---daisies--- learned to fly a plane, was a bunch of simulators. They took courses at a college down the street from my house.  :badmood:
Pictures are overrated anyway.

Thanks Haze... I've looked through so many games without finding that again. Wanted to show a buddy.

The Cobra Command laserdisc game (emulated in Daphne) also has vivid background images of the towers during the New York level.
