Fruit machine Cabinet
« on: October 29, 2010, 08:57:23 am »
Ive built and used my mame machine now for a while. Ive now noticed the excellent virtual pinball projects appearing and just wondered has anyone been successful in making a fruit machine in the same way?
Id like fruitys on my mame cab but not sure if its possible?
I know payouts would be a problem but im not too worried bout that.

I had thought about doing a Fruit Machine of sorts, but just haven't played around with the different emulators much yet. (way on the back burner project)

But I have messed with a lot of the SWP type games which worked out cool for my little "multi" game/slot machine thingy I started to put together.

A gambling game very much, if not exactly, like a slot machine.  But not like what I have played at a casino in the ten years I have been to one.  From what I have seen,  they seem to be European.

I've played around with those emus a couple of times and they didn't work out.  Most of those emus are in their infancy unfortunately.  Most don't run at full screen either (windowed).

Your best bet is to find a PC version of slots.  The best one in my opinion is:
http://www.amazon.com/Reel-Deal-Slots-American-Adventure-Pc/dp/B0035NH41W

Here's a youtube video of it in action:

I run the Reel Deal games on my little machine too. Works out nice with the buttons showing on a touchscreen monitor.  ;)

There's also the Masque and Hoyle slot series to play with.

I've got the masque programs on my touchscreen setup.  I installed the 'Little Green Men', 'Texas Tea' and 'Williams Double Pack'.

I put an IPac inside and hooked the space bar input to a real slot machine button.  The space bar works as a 'repeat bet' button so once you select how many lines and credits you want, you can press the spin reels button to play the game.
